Statement
As an educational institution, a campus should foster sustainability through academic initiatives. The Education indicator in the UI GreenMetric evaluates these efforts by examining the proportion of sustainability courses in the curriculum, the ratio of sustainability research funding to total research funding, its publications, and student organizations and activities focused on sustainability.
Universitas Gadjah Mada excelled in the Education indicator, achieving its highest score relative to other categories with 1,525 points, equivalent to 84.72%. This achievement ranks UGM fifth nationally. The success is attributed to UGM’s consistent output of publications and activities related to sustainability, bolstered by student organizations and relevant courses.
