Transportation significantly impacts carbon emissions and pollution levels on campus. Implementing policies that limit motorized vehicles, alongside promoting campus buses and bicycles, fosters a healthier environment. Encouraging pedestrian movement reduces reliance on private vehicles, while adopting environmentally friendly public transportation diminishes carbon pollution.

At Universitas Gadjah Mada, the Transportation indicator scored 1,275 points, equivalent to 70.83%, ranking it third nationally. The university places a strong emphasis on pedestrian policies and the use of emissions-free vehicles, such as bicycles and electric vehicles.
